We are looking to recruit a Part Time Qualified Social Worker in the Adoption Team for 15.5 hours per week within Southend. The successful candidate will be working in a well-structured, organised team who are growing their social worker staffing levels.

The responsibilities of the Social Worker includes:
  • Assess, recruit, and prepare prospective adoptive parents.
  • Support the matching and placement of children with approved adopters.
  • Provide guidance and support to children and families throughout the adoption journey.
  • Facilitate support groups and training for adopters.
  • Prepare high-quality reports and documentation for agency panels and courts.
  • Champion permanence planning and ensure child safeguarding.
  • Liaise with various agencies and professionals to support adopted children and their families.
  • Offer post-adoption support, including accessing therapeutic services

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Social Work England registration
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Social Work qualified (MA/BSc/DipSW/CQSW/MSc/BA)
