Future Prospects Group are delighted to be working with our client from within the construction industry who are actively recruiting for a Site Labourer on a full-time, permanent basis to join their team.

As Site Labourer you will responsible for carrying out tasks as instructed by the Site Manager to assist all trades in meeting the construction Programme.

THE ROLE

Your responsibilities as a Site Labourer will include:

  • Regularly communicate with Site Manager to keep up to date with any changes to the construction programme
  • Operate as a supportive team member when assigned to a trades team, delivering a high standard of work
  • Support all sites when required, with collection and delivery of materials/equipment as and when requested by the Site Managers
  • Housekeeping, ensuring work areas are clean and tidy, including cleaning of welfare facilities
  • Ensure that safe working practices are adhered to at all times and report any issues directly to the site manager
  • Assist site with multiple tasks as and when required, such as assistance with internal sealing of properties for air tightness/give assistance to teams working on site

Forklift Operator Tasks(following training, if a license isn't held):

  • Advice Site Manager of any shortages of blocks and bricks and level of silo mix so that the build programme is not delayed due to material shortage
  • Ensure all deliveries are checked for quality and the correct quantity
  • Store and label materials correctly in the store areas on site
  • Ensure that any waste materials are loaded into the correct site skips so the waste control can be managed
  • Advise the Site Manager/Assistant Site Manager of any defective/damaged materials when collecting or loading out of materials
  • Ensure that the forklift is inspected daily for maintenance purposes and weekly inspections are recorded in the Plant Register
  • Ensure the forklift is always clean and roadworthy and conduct routine maintenance
THE CANDIDATE

The ideal Site Labourer will be able to demonstrate the following key skills and experience:

  • Driving licence (essential)
  • CSCS Card or equivalent (essential)
  • Ability to work unsupervised and to use own initiative appropriately
  • Experience of various trades and knowledge of trade team requirements
  • Previous experience of working on large domestic volume house building sites
  • Relevant Health and Safety Awareness
