Job Responsibilities

• Act as the lead planning lawyer for Nottinghamshire County Council.

• Advise on all planning-related matters, including complex legal agreements associated with major minerals and waste developments.

• Provide legal advice on select highway matters.

• Mentor junior staff, including the development of a graduate solicitor apprentice.

Person Specifications

• Proven experience as a planning solicitor or barrister.

• Strong understanding of planning law and related legal agreements.

• Ability to manage complex legal issues and provide clear guidance.

• Excellent mentoring and leadership skills.

• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
