An established Top 200 UK law firm with a strong regional presence and a heritage dating back to 1856 is seeking an experienced Litigation Executive, Legal Executive, or Solicitor to join its growing Dispute Resolution team in Newark, Nottinghamshire. With a focus on client service and technical excellence, the firm is known for providing a wide range of legal and wealth management services across the Midlands.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and structured legal professional to take on a mixed caseload of civil litigation matters and work within a friendly, supportive, and forward-thinking team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a varied caseload of civil litigation matters independently

  • Provide practical, solution-focused legal advice to a wide range of clients

  • Convert enquiries and quotations into new business

  • Work closely with colleagues and contribute to business development and marketing activity

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal developments in dispute resolution

  • Adhere to firm-wide financial and compliance procedures, including accurate time recording, billing, and risk management

Person Specification

Essential:

  • Qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive, or experienced Litigation Executive

  • Experience managing your own caseload of civil litigation matters

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Professional, confident, and client-focused

  • Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with SOS Connect or other case management systems

  • Experience using HR or legal admin systems (e.g. CIPHR)

  • Commercial mindset with a focus on generating new work

Role Details:
  • Location: Newark, Nottinghamshire

  • Hours: Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:15 (36.25 hours/week)

  • Salary: Competitive and dependent on experience
