As Team Leader – Electrical Design, you’ll split your time between team leadership and technical design delivery using EPLAN (including ProPanel). Step up as a leader in electrical design and make a real impact in the world of intra-logistics automation.

 

Team Leader - Electrical Design  - The Role:

  • Leading and mentoring a team of three Electrical Design Engineers
  • Managing task allocation, priorities, and output quality across active projects
  • Remaining actively involved in electrical design using EPLAN
  • Ensuring designs meet UK Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations and EU Machinery Directive
  • Acting as the go-to technical lead for shop floor and site-based design queries
  • Driving improvements in standards, documentation, and engineering practices
  • Collaborating across departments including mechanical design, controls, and project management

 

Team Leader - Electrical Design  - The Person:

  • A senior or experienced Electrical Design Engineer, ready to step into leadership
  • Expertise in EPLAN P8 and ProPanel is essential
  • Background in machinery automation, ideally in high-value project environments
  • Knowledge of ProfiNET, EtherNET/IP, and safety systems such as SISTEMA
  • Strong understanding of machinery safety regulations
  • Proactive communicator and confident decision-maker, able to lead by example

Head office is located in Nottinghamshire. This is very much a hybrid role - we are looking for someone able to travel in 2 days per week. Office is easily reachable within 90 minutes from within/around the following: Derby, Leicester, Loughborough, Newark-on-Trent, Nottingham, Melton Mowbray, Chesterfield, Beeston, Hucknall, Long Eaton, Lincoln, Bakewell & Grantham.
