A successful and growing manufacturer based in Halifax is looking for a skilled Supply Chain Manager to lead and develop its end-to-end supply chain operations. This is a senior leadership role offering long-term impact and excellent benefits.
About the Role:
You will be responsible for managing procurement, planning, logistics, and warehousing while leading a team of four managers. The role is central to driving efficiency, improving service levels, and supporting the company’s ongoing growth and innovation strategy.
Main Responsibilities:
- Oversee procurement, production planning, inventory control, transportation, and warehousing.
- Develop and implement supply chain systems and processes to improve communication, efficiency, and lead times.
- Build and manage relationships with global suppliers aligned with ISO 9001 standards.
- Lead the implementation of demand planning tools and support ERP integration.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing on new product introductions.
- Drive cost savings while maintaining service and margin levels.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, FSC, PEFC, and RSB standards.
- Support health & safety compliance across warehousing and logistics.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.
- Coach and mentor team members to achieve business and personal goals.
Key Requirements:
- 3+ years of supply chain management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office.
- A background in chemical or polymer manufacturing is essential due to the technical complexity of the products and regulatory requirements.
