A successful and growing manufacturer based in Halifax is looking for a skilled Supply Chain Manager to lead and develop its end-to-end supply chain operations. This is a senior leadership role offering long-term impact and excellent benefits.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for managing procurement, planning, logistics, and warehousing while leading a team of four managers. The role is central to driving efficiency, improving service levels, and supporting the company’s ongoing growth and innovation strategy.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee procurement, production planning, inventory control, transportation, and warehousing.
  • Develop and implement supply chain systems and processes to improve communication, efficiency, and lead times.
  • Build and manage relationships with global suppliers aligned with ISO 9001 standards.
  • Lead the implementation of demand planning tools and support ERP integration.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing on new product introductions.
  • Drive cost savings while maintaining service and margin levels.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, FSC, PEFC, and RSB standards.
  • Support health & safety compliance across warehousing and logistics.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.
  • Coach and mentor team members to achieve business and personal goals.

Key Requirements:

  • 3+ years of supply chain management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office.
  • A background in chemical or polymer manufacturing is essential due to the technical complexity of the products and regulatory requirements.
