In a nutshell…Our client is a leading manufacturer based in Spalding who promote growth and development.

As Product Manager you will play an active role in supporting the quality team to ensure first time reporting of food quality at intake. You will manage raw material to ensure the age of the stock is kept to a minimum and stock checks are conducted where necessary.

You will play a key part dealing with the Technologist and Technical Manager to ensure quality risks are made visible and the correct quality decisions are made in line with customer specifications.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience within the food manufacturing industry and have worked within a lead or senior quality role.

What's involved for the Product Manager (Quality Assurance)…

  • Play an active role in supporting the quality team to ensure the right first-time reporting of quality at intake.
  • Close out corrective actions by making informed decisions on product quality.
  • Manage raw material to ensure the age of stock is kept to a minimum.
  • Carry out stock checks.
  • Work alongside the Technologist and Technical Manager to ensure quality risks are made visible, and decisions are made in line with customer specifications.
  • Communicate stock quality concerns to production and quality teams, ensuring they are aware of risks.
  • Set out a clear training plan for the product and quality teams, building the material and delivering the training.
  • Provide advice, support, and guidance to the Quality Teams.
  • Take responsibility for the shelf-life system analysis and performance.
  • Monitor store temperatures.
  • Identify areas of improvement, opportunity and innovation.

What you'll need…

  • MUST have food manufacturing experience within a quality role
  • Experience with products that have a limited shelf life
  • Ability to set out training plans
  • IDEALLY have worked within a senior lead role within Quality
