School Caretaker - St Albans

Interaction Education are really pleased to be currently recruiting for one of our great partner schools in the St Albans area in their search for a Caretaker.

Overview:
A reliable and hardworking School Caretaker is required to join a welcoming school in St Albans. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, security, and cleanliness of the school site, ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Opening and closing the school premises

• General maintenance and repairs across the site

• Ensuring the security of the school buildings and grounds

• Monitoring cleaning standards and supporting with cleaning when needed

• Managing deliveries and liaising with contractors

• Ensuring health & safety procedures are followed

Requirements:

• Previous caretaking or facilities experience preferred

• Good practical and DIY skills

• Reliable, flexible, and able to work independently

• Knowledge of health & safety regulations

• Enhanced DBS check required (or willingness to obtain one)
