My client is seeking an experienced HR Manager to oversee and manage their HR function. This role is crucial for fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment and managing the full range of employee lifecycle activities. The HR Manager will ensure that the team attracts, develops, and retains the best talent while maintaining compliance with legal standards and company values.
Day-to-day of the role:- Line management of the HR Assistant, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Manage recruitment and onboarding processes to attract and secure top talent.
- Oversee induction processes to ensure new team members integrate well and understand company values.
- Handle payroll processing and pension administration, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
- Support performance management processes to align with company values and goals.
- Manage internal movements, role changes, probationary periods, and exit procedures including conducting exit interviews.
- Regularly review HR processes and policies to ensure legal compliance and maintain Lexcel/ISO accreditation.
- Collaborate with the Head of People to create and advise on HR metrics through an HR data dashboard to support decision making and identify improvement areas.
- Serve as a first point of contact for HR queries, providing high-quality advice and managing employee relations casework with empathy.
- Support training programs, including the Trainee Solicitors programme and apprenticeships, and develop in-house training as needed.
- Engage in continuous professional development to improve HR services and support the roll-out of HR projects and processes.
- Significant experience in a managerial or advisory HR role, preferably in professional services.
- BA/BSc or Level 5 qualification in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong HR administration and line management experience.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact confidently with all levels of the organisation.
- Solid understanding of current and upcoming employment legislation.
- Proficiency in numerical literacy and using HRIS and other relevant IT systems.
- A progressive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous learning.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and build trust and credibility within the team.
