Based locally to St Albans, seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong background in bookkeeping including processing payroll, who enjoys working independently and values a supportive team environment.Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing processing payroll for c.300 employees, all monthly payroll
  • Work alongside the team to process purchase invoices
  • Raise and send sales invoices – both recurring and intermediate
  • Assist with reconciling bank statements
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and assisting with management reports
  • Liaising with external accountants and HMRC when necessary
  Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper, with hands-on payroll experience
  • Proficient in cloud-based accounting systems (Xero/Sage)
  • Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and best practice
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Friendly, reliable, and able to work with minimal supervision
