About The Role:Horizon Teachers are looking for a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils 1:1 and in small groups across KS1KS5. You'll help children with ASD, PMLD, and other SEND needs thrive in the classroom and beyond.This temp-to-perm opportunity offers flexibility and long-term potential within a welcoming SEN school in Hertfordshire.Key Responsibilities
  • Support students with complex needs' personal & Social Development needs.
  • Implement Individualised Learning Plans (ILPs) under the guidance of class teachers and the SENCO.
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Previous experience in a school or SEN setting (essential).
  • A solid understanding of SEND conditions and how they affect learning and behaviour.
  • Confidence in supporting pupils with communication difficulties and/or physical needs.
  • A collaborative and empathetic approach, with excellent communication skills.
