Role Purpose:
We are seeking a proactive and engaging Placement Consultant who will play a vital role in supporting unemployed young adults (aged 16–19) to secure meaningful work placements across various sectors. This is an exciting opportunity to combine your recruitment and employer engagement skills to create real social impact.
You will take the lead in developing new employer relationships, identifying placement opportunities, and mentoring learners throughout their work experience journey. A key focus of your role will be to ensure high-quality placements that align with each learner’s interests and goals, supporting them to sustain and succeed.
Duties:

• Proactively engage with new and existing employers to source suitable placement opportunities.
• Present live placement opportunities to learners and match them based on skills and interests.
• Manage the end-to-end placement process, including setup, mentoring, and tracking progress.
• Provide ongoing support to learners to help them sustain their placements.
• Identify and secure alternative placements if needed.
• Complete employer compliance and health & safety checks before placements begin.
• Maintain accurate records and report on placement outcomes.

Required Skills:

• Experience in employer engagement, recruitment, or a similar sales-related role.
• Confident communicator with excellent relationship-building skills.
• Passion for supporting young people and helping them to succeed in the workplace.
• Organised, self-motivated, and results driven.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet targets.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Willingness to travel across the Greater Manchester region.
• DBS clearance required (to be completed upon offer).

Due to the nature of this role, you will need to have access to your own vehicle, and you will undertake an enhanced DBS if successful in the role.
