Multimodal Freight Forwarding Operator/Customer Services. In this role you will be handling both imports and exports groupage and full loads shipments across all modalities: Road, Sea and Airfreight. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate effectively in a professional manner with customers to ensure their quotations and traffic requirements are fulfilled in line with their booking instructions.
Duties:
- Issuing quotations to both new and existing clients
- Take bookings from customers ensuring that their requirements can be met.
- Ensure that the company operates within all agreed operational procedures
- Prepare correct documentation to the Warehouse/Haulage/Distribution/Shipping department for loading/off-loading cargo to vehicles, in a timely manner, ensuring all hazardous requirements are met.
- Perform and correctly implement General Administration, e.g. invoicing; queries; daily ETA Checks in accordance with departmental requirements.
- Communicate efficiently with internal departments, partners, customers, suppliers and other offices, as required by operational procedures.
- Collate, prepare and issue all shipping documentation in accordance to the shipment in hand.
- Maintain awareness of and follow transport (and H.M. Customs) regulations, where relevant, to conform to all statutory requirements
- Customer focus and resolving queries
- Maximizing profitability by serving new and existing Client base.
- Liaise with overseas Agents in regards to Quotes, movements, clearances and compliance.
Requirements;
- Minimum of 2-5 years of FREIGHT experience, full of Import/Export knowledge, strong negotiation & communication skills.
- Attention to detail is paramount.
- Able to prioritize own workload, work to deadlines and be a team player to achieve efficiency.
Additional
Monday to Friday 9am-17:00hrs (1 hour lunch)
Salary Band : £depending on experience
