Responsible to: Neighbourhood Team Leader

We are pleased to be working with one of our Social Housing clients to recruit a Neighbourhood Assistant.

In this role, you will provide valuable clerical and administrative support to the Neighbourhood Housing Team. You will have the opportunity to liaise with tenants, offer housing management advice, and help ensure the smooth operation of the neighbourhood office.

Requirements:

  • Basic DBS
  • Social Housing Experience
  • Experience in Neighbourhood Assistant roles

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the Neighbourhood Housing Team.
  • Deliver a 'Right First Time' service to tenants, ensuring compliance with Data Protection regulations.
  • Assist with tenancy and estate management tasks, including Impact Days and Estate Walkabouts.
  • Process purchase orders, invoices, payments, and petty cash.
  • Manage keys, fobs, appointments, diaries, and meetings.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and correspondence.
  • Attend meetings, including evening and weekend sessions, as needed.
  • Build relationships with external partners to promote Torus's reputation.
  • Support tenants with online transactions and liaise with Income and Allocations Teams.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Data Protection policies.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Maintain personal development and stay updated on relevant legislation.
  • Participate in multi-agency meetings and collaborate with internal teams for efficient service delivery.
  • Promote safeguarding, equality, and value for money in all activities.
