Job Description:

We’re looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Domestic Assistant to provide high-quality cleaning and housekeeping services in an education setting. This role involves maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors while following health and safety standards.
You’ll take pride in your work, ensuring all cleaning tasks are carried out to a high standard and within set timeframes. You’ll also work closely with other team members and supervisors to support smooth day-to-day operations and respond to any additional cleaning needs as they arise.
Duties:

  • Clean and maintain designated areas, including training rooms, offices, kitchens, toilets, and communal spaces.
  • Carry out sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing tasks.
  • Replenish cleaning supplies and report any shortages or maintenance issues.
  • Dispose of waste safely and ensure recycling procedures are followed.
  • Adhere to infection control, health and safety, and safeguarding policies.
  • Support deep cleaning tasks and assist with laundry or linen changes when required.
  • Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy and dignity of residents or clients.

Required Skills:

  • Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience preferred but not essential.
  • Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Awareness of health and safety and willingness to follow cleaning protocols.
  • Friendly, respectful attitude and ability to communicate clearly with clients and colleagues.


Due to the nature of this role, you will be required to complete an online Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
