Role Purpose

We are looking for a Regional Adoption Agency Adviserto take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery, quality assurance, and management of specific Adoption Panels across the region. In this vital role, you will provide expert professional advice and guidance to Adoption Panels and Agency Decision Makers (ADM), ensuring compliance with complex legislation, regulations, and best practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide quality assurance of Child’s Permanence Reports and deliver professional advice to the ADM.

  • Manage the recruitment, induction, training, and appraisal of Regional Panel Chairpersons, Vice Chairpersons, and Panel Members.

  • Ensure the smooth and effective functioning of Adoption Panels in line with relevant legislation.

  • Offer specialist advice and guidance on all adoption matters.

  • Lead continuous reviews to improve practice and outcomes within the adoption service.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Qualified and Registered Social Worker with substantial post-qualifying experience in Children’s Social Care.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of adoption-related legislation, regulations, and guidance.

  • Experience in risk assessments, adoption assessments, and working with Adoption Panels.
