Lead Planner

Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) are recruiting for:

We are looking for a Lead Planner for a permanent position based with our client in Staffordshire.

Immediate start available (subject to interview process)

Salary is 45,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and update detailed project programmes using Microsoft Project (advanced level essential)
• Coordinate with project teams, engineers, and clients to define deliverables and timelines
• Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
• Lead planning workshops and provide regular project reports
• Support tender and bid processes with fully resourced programmes
• Mentor junior planners

Requirements

• 5-7 years' experience in planning/scheduling in engineering (ideally energy, oil & gas, or infrastructure)
• Advanced knowledge and proven experience using MS Project
• Experience with Primavera P6 desirable
• Able to read technical drawings and manage planning for multiple projects
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Degree in Engineering or Project Management preferred
