- Conduct investigations into volume and priority crime at PIP1 level
- Interview victims, witnesses, and suspects using appropriate techniques
- Prepare and manage court files, including remand and expedited files
- Handle exhibits and disclosure material in line with legislation
- Work collaboratively with internal departments and external agencies (e.g. CPS)
- Support safeguarding duties where required (e.g., DA, child protection, vulnerable adults)
- Provide high-quality updates and statements in line with evidential standards
- Maintain accurate records and manage caseloads efficiently
- PIP1 qualified (applications from PIP2 welcome)
- Competent in suspect and witness interviewing
- Demonstrated experience in file building for prosecution
- Strong communication and decision-making skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple investigations simultaneously
- Working knowledge of criminal law and the criminal justice system
- Full UK driving licence
- Support critical policing activity in a high-impact role
