Production Team Leader

Overview

ReeVR are seeking an experienced Production Team Leader to join our clients fast-paced Engineering business. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with strong electro-mechanical assembly experience and a proven ability to deliver high-quality output in a low-volume, prototype, bespoke manufacturing environment.

As the Production Team Leader will lead a small team of technicians, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure products are built to specification, on time and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities for the Production Team Leader

  • Lead, motivate, and support a team of Production Technicians to achieve daily and weekly KPIs.
  • Production Planning to schedule and allocate work efficiently.
  • Oversee electro-mechanical assembly activities, including wiring loom fabrication and product build.
  • Ensure all work is completed to the required quality and safety standards.
  • Support prototype and low-volume production, ensuring flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across production processes.
  • Provide hands-on technical support and training to team members.
  • Monitor team performance and provide feedback, coaching, and development support.
  • Liaise with Engineering to resolve technical issues and support new product introduction.
  • Ensure all documentation and production records are completed accurately and on time.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a Production Team Leader or Senior Technician role within an electro-mechanical or similar manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with prototype or low-volume builds is highly desirable.
  • Good understanding of production planning, scheduling, and resource management.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Comfortable working to KPIs and driving team performance.
  • Proficient in interpreting technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
  • Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles is advantageous.

Security Clearance

  • Candidates must be eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC).
