£110 - £125 per day
Are you a passionate Learning support assistant looking to make a real difference in Education?
We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Learning support assistant to join a supportive and inclusive mainstream secondary school in Thurrock, supporting students with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Learning support assistant, you will be required (but not limited) to:
- Support pupils, to ensure they are engaged in learning activities
- Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all students within the classroom
- Act as a role model, setting high expectations of conduct and promoting positive pupil behaviour
- Create a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Provide feedback to the classroom teacher on the pupil’s progress against lesson plans, the conduct of the lesson and keeping pupil-related records
- Deal with any immediate problems or emergencies according to the school’s policies and procedures about health & safety, welfare and wellbeing and safeguarding
- Provide additional support to the teachers in the classrooms
- Establish positive relationships with the pupils in lessons being covered

- A passion for supporting students with additional needs
- Prior experience supporting SEND pupils would be preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and adaptability
- A commitment to inclusion and the values of the school
