We're looking for an experienced and hands-on sustainability professional to take a leading role in driving environmental improvement across our UK business.
This is an opportunity to shape meaningful change in a complex engineering environment - influencing behaviour, improving performance and helping deliver our wider ESG strategy.
The Opportunity
You'll lead UK-wide activity to improve environmental performance across areas such as:
Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions - including waste, business travel, commuting, homeworking, and transport/distribution.
Biodiversity enhancements across our sites.
Wider workplace environmental projects that support our 2030 targets.
You'll work closely with teams across Facilities, SHE, Sustainable Procurement, Engineering, Travel and Site Management to turn strategy into action - supporting, guiding and challenging where needed. This isn't a passive role; we're looking for someone who will get out into the business and make change happen.
There's also a key reporting element. You'll take the lead on statutory and corporate environmental reporting, including our Climate-related Financial Disclosure and Carbon Reduction Plan.
As part of our international ESG network, you'll also collaborate with colleagues in France, Italy and Germany as we respond collectively to evolving sustainability regulations.
What You'll Bring
Experience driving environmental improvements in a large company or complex organisation.
Strong knowledge of environmental and carbon management, ideally at or above ISEP/IEMA Full Member level.
Confidence engaging with stakeholders at all levels, from engineers to senior leadership.
Ability to turn strategy into measurable outputs and practical solutions.
A proactive, delivery-focused approach - someone who enjoys influencing, improving and problem-solving.
Experience preparing environmental reporting aligned to UK regulations.
Why Join Us?
You'll play a central role in helping a major UK engineering organisation deliver sustainable change - improving operational performance while reducing environmental impact. You'll join a supportive ESG team committed to collaboration and continuous improvement.
