We are seeking a Kitchen Porter to join our team, working in schools and local hospitality businesses in St Albans. This role is ideal for someone who lives locally and has the right to work full-time in the UK.
Day-to-day of the role:- Maintain the kitchen’s cleanliness and hygiene, adhering to health and safety policies.
- Assist with the preparation of meal ingredients, which includes washing, peeling, cutting, and portioning food items.
- Ensure all pots, pans, dishes, and utensils are thoroughly washed and stored appropriately.
- Support the kitchen staff in unloading deliveries and organizing the storeroom.
- Dispose of waste correctly and safely.
- Assist in setting up and clearing down the kitchen before and after service.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Ability to work efficiently and keep calm under pressure.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to multitask.
- Strong team player as well as being able to work independently.
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
