Assistant Town Planner

Salary: Negotiable depending on skills and experience
An excellent opportunity has become available for an Assistant Town Planner to join an established consultancy as part of their Hertforshire based team. The successful Assistant Planner will be working alongside senior staff to help prepare and submit a variety of planning applications within the residential, mixed use and commercial sectors.
Qualifications:
In this instance applications are sought from candidates with a BSc and ideally an MSc (or equivalent) in an appropriate planning related discipline and membership to the RTPI.
Experience:
Suitable candidates for the Assistant Town Planner role will have some previous experience of preparing planning applications and appeals, undertaking site development appraisals and liaising with clients, land owners and developers.
Duties:
- Preparing planning appraisals for land and buildings
- Liaising with clients, planning officers and stakeholders
- Undertaking research
- Preparing and submitting applications
