The Role of the Panel Assembly Technician

As a Panel Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for consistently producing high-quality products in line with the production plan. Your duties will include:

Assembling and finalising aluminium composite panels using various techniques such as inserting mechanical fasteners, potting inserts, and bonding components
Working in accordance with detailed engineering drawings, procedures, and quality standards
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols
Providing support and guidance to trainees within the department
Demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to work across different operational teams as needed

The Ideal Candidate

To excel in this Panel Assembly Technician role, you will need:

Previous experience in a manual handling or production/manufacturing environment
Strong manual dexterity and the ability to work with various hand and air tools
Familiarity with reading and understanding detailed engineering drawings and procedures
A keen eye for detail and the ability to work to tight timelines with demanding quality requirements
Experience working in a clean room environment and as part of a team
A relevant apprenticeship or NVQ qualification (desirable)
