The Role of the Panel Assembly Technician

As a Panel Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for consistently producing high-quality products in line with the production plan. Your duties will include:

  • Assembling and finalising aluminium composite panels using various techniques such as inserting mechanical fasteners, potting inserts, and bonding components
  • Working in accordance with detailed engineering drawings, procedures, and quality standards
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols
  • Providing support and guidance to trainees within the department
  • Demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to work across different operational teams as needed
The Ideal Candidate

To excel in this Panel Assembly Technician role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a manual handling or production/manufacturing environment
  • Strong manual dexterity and the ability to work with various hand and air tools
  • Familiarity with reading and understanding detailed engineering drawings and procedures
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to work to tight timelines with demanding quality requirements
  • Experience working in a clean room environment and as part of a team
  • A relevant apprenticeship or NVQ qualification (desirable)
