Role: Technical Sales Manager (Business Unit Leader)
Location: Ideally Northwest but other locations will be considered
Salary: £50-£60k DOE (negotiable for the right candidate) plus commission £100k OTE
Background
From the initial design and development of the first Prosim wear simulators in the early 1990s, Simulation Solutions has sought to take a flexible, innovative and cost-effective approach to the development of mechanical wear simulators for the testing of orthopaedic implants.
Working with leading universities around the world, orthopaedic implant manufacturers, government FDAs and independent testing laboratories, Prosim provides:
- Hip Implant wear Simulation;
- Knee wear Simulation;
- Pin-on-plate Tribometer;
- Universal Joint Simulation;
- Spine Wear Simulation
Key Responsibilities
- Consolidate, support and build Asian distribution channels;
- Support and sell into existing UK direct customers;
- Direct sell into US universities and implant manufacturers;
- Sell directly into UK universities and UK industry
- Manage, develop and grow a UK based team.
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have 5 10 years experience related to UTM selling and have had experience of:
- Big ticket kit with long sales cycles into hospitals, universities and research facilities
- Have a more reserved sales style a consultative sales style is required for this role and the markets we work in
- Needs experience of both direct and channel selling
- Plant and equipment background (scientific/technical)
- Experience of selling into manufacturers
