Panel Wirer – 6-Month Contract / Temp to PermÂ
Location: Cheshire
Gross Rate: £22-£24 per hour (Outside IR35 – Ltd Co. / Umbrella / PAYE)
Duration: 6-month initial contract / Temp to Perm
Start Date: Immediate Requirement
37 hours p/w (Days) Mon-Fri (Early Finish Fridays)
A well-established engineering business based in Cheshire is seeking experienced Panel Wirers for a long-term contract to support a major increase in orders. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a key client.
Role Overview:
This hands-on role involves the electrical and electro-mechanical build of advanced control systems, racks, and panels. You will be working from engineering drawings and wiring diagrams to assemble and install high-specification components and cabling systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Rework and repair of PCBs
- Build and termination of cable assemblies including RF, power, and data cables
- Cabinet, rack, and box wiring
- Crimping and soldering using 22awg – 10awg cable
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and schedules
- Carry out mechanical rack and system assembly
- Inspect and test assemblies using appropriate equipment
- Work to tight tolerances and maintain quality throughout
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Time Served / NVQ L3
- Experience in electro-mechanical assembly and cable integration
- Ability to work from complex technical drawings and circuit schematics
- IPC 610/620 or J-STD qualifications (preferred)
- Previous experience in manufacturing
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
Contract Details:
- Outside IR35 – Ltd Co., Umbrella, or PAYE options
- 37-hour working week, flexi-time available across 4.5 days
- On-site only
