Panel Wirer – 6-Month Contract / Temp to Perm 

Location: Cheshire
Gross Rate: £22-£24 per hour (Outside IR35 – Ltd Co. / Umbrella / PAYE)
Duration: 6-month initial contract / Temp to Perm
Start Date: Immediate Requirement

37 hours p/w (Days) Mon-Fri (Early Finish Fridays)

A well-established engineering business based in Cheshire is seeking experienced Panel Wirers for a long-term contract to support a major increase in orders. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a key client.

Role Overview:

This hands-on role involves the electrical and electro-mechanical build of advanced control systems, racks, and panels. You will be working from engineering drawings and wiring diagrams to assemble and install high-specification components and cabling systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Rework and repair of PCBs
  • Build and termination of cable assemblies including RF, power, and data cables
  • Cabinet, rack, and box wiring
  • Crimping and soldering using 22awg – 10awg cable
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and schedules
  • Carry out mechanical rack and system assembly
  • Inspect and test assemblies using appropriate equipment
  • Work to tight tolerances and maintain quality throughout

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Time Served / NVQ L3
  • Experience in electro-mechanical assembly and cable integration
  • Ability to work from complex technical drawings and circuit schematics
  • IPC 610/620 or J-STD qualifications (preferred)
  • Previous experience in manufacturing
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality

Contract Details:

  • Outside IR35 – Ltd Co., Umbrella, or PAYE options
  • 37-hour working week, flexi-time available across 4.5 days
  • On-site only
