We’re hiring for a Machine Shop Foreman to join a precision engineering business in Stockport.
In this role you will be helping lead the day-to-day operations of their machining department that services some of the most highly regulated industries in the world.
What’s on offer?
- £59,000 per year
- Monday to Friday day shifts (flexible hours)
- 30 days holiday (plus bank holidays)

What will you be doing as a Machine Shop Foreman?
- Coordinating workflow and schedules across multiple CNC machines and operators
- Overseeing production progress to ensure deadlines, specifications, and quality standards are met
- Liaising between production, planning, and engineering teams to maintain alignment
- Supporting CNC operators with technical queries and skill development
- Driving process improvements and troubleshooting tooling or fixturing issues
- Ensuring health and safety compliance across the machine shop
- Collaborating with the quality team to resolve non-conformances and maintain standards
What do you need?
- Experience leading or supervising within a CNC machining environment
- Strong knowledge of CNC milling and turning operations, tooling, and setup
- Comfortable reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings
