Based at the Stockton HQ, they are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Finance Assistant to join the friendly and dynamic Finance Department. You'll be part of a highly skilled, self-motivated team ensuring our statutory and regulatory financial obligations are met with precision and timeliness.
Your new role
As a Senior Finance Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the Financial Controller and wider finance team. You'll be responsible for a variety of finance and administrative tasks, contributing to the smooth operation of our financial processes and helping maintain a professional and welcoming office environment.Key Responsibilities

  • Manage credit control and sales invoicing for the organisation and its subsidiaries.
  • Access and monitor bank accounts.
  • Support the Finance Assistant with:
    • Matching purchase invoices
    • Resolving payment queries
    • Supplier statement reconciliations
    • Payment runs
    • Spreadsheet maintenance
    • Month-end reporting
    • Document control (filing, photocopying, scanning)
  • Handle incoming calls and resolve queries or forward messages appropriately.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe, tidy, and welcoming office space.


What you'll need to succeed
Strong knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
  • Proven ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.

What you'll get in return 35 hours/week | Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 16:30
Flexible, hybrid working.Holiday: 23 days annual leave + statutory holidays
