Job Description:

We are seeking a Project Planner to support the delivery of critical projects across various sectors. The Project Planner will:

  • Play a key role in determining project scope, creating work schedules, and estimating resources to ensure successful delivery.
  • You will coordinate tasks, track project milestones, and maintain schedules to avoid delays.
  • As a Project Planner, you will prepare and maintain project schedules, report on project status, and attend customer meetings to review progress.
  • You’ll also support bid activity at RFQ stage by producing preliminary schedules and contribute to workload prioritisation. This role requires collaboration across multiple disciplines to streamline workflows and minimise downtime.

The Project Planner position is customer-facing, requiring confidence in leading scheduling reviews and presenting detailed project plans. You will also track performance indicators such as SPI and CPI, ensuring accuracy and accountability throughout project lifecycles.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in project planning or scheduling environments
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Project and Excel
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and adapt to change
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Organised, approachable, and team-focused
  • Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent); APM PFQ desirable
