Reed Accountancy are looking to recruit an experienced Dispute Management Clerk to work within the Credit Control team of a reputable client here in Teesside. 

This is a 6-month temporary contract starting ASAP, and requires strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills and involves close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will investigate and handle disputes, mitigate risks, and ensure all payment barriers are resolved efficiently within our process frameworks. 

Key ResponsibilitiesDispute Resolution:

  • Manage and resolve disputes, claims, and complaints from customers or other stakeholders.
  • Analyse each dispute to determine the appropriate resolution approach.
  • Oversee the entire dispute process from initial assessment to final resolution, ensuring timely and cost-effective outcomes.

Investigation & Documentation:

  • Conduct thorough investigations into the facts surrounding disputes and gather all relevant evidence.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of all disputes, including correspondence, reports, and resolutions.
  • Prepare reports and recommendations for senior management on dispute trends, outcomes, and necessary actions.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all parties involved in disputes.
  • Keep all stakeholders informed of the dispute resolution process and case progress.
  • Provide guidance and support to internal teams (e.g., Billing, Credit Control) in handling disputes. 

About YouEssential Skills & Knowledge:

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and mediation skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple disputes simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Effective collaboration with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Experience working within Credit Control or the Accounts Receivables function.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Proficiency in Office 365, including Excel.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or administrative position is preferred.
