As an Accountant you will play a vital role in overseeing the daily reconciliation of regulatory reports, ensuring all of the financial regulatory requirements are met.

You will be an integral part of the North American Regulatory Returns team, who are responsible for ensuring continual delivery of regulatory returns in current and new markets.

A large part of the role will require you to assist in the delivery of a number of current regulated North American markets. You will ensure all requirements for Duty, Taxes and adhoc requests are met as well as the testing of new reports that are required.

The North American market is expanding rapidly, making this a brilliant opportunity for someone who has excellent attention to detail and can manage workload effectively.

This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy.

Successful applicants will be required to provide proof of eligibility to work in the UK from their first day of employment.

Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Experience

• AAT Qualified or studying AAT Level 4.

• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

• Ability to show initiative and grasp new concepts quickly.

• Self-motivated with the ability to make continuous improvements to processes, with a focus on efficiency and accuracy.

• Experience working with high volumes of data.

• Proactive and inquisitive mindset, committed to continuous learning.

• Proficiency in Excel functions.

• Proactive and organised, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data.

• Basic understanding of the gambling industry and an interest in a wide range of sports is desirable.

Main Responsibilities

• Reviewing daily financial reconciliations for multiple North American markets, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data.

• Managing the preparation of Duty and Tax submissions.

• Producing detailed and insightful commentary to explain fluctuations in financial figures.

• Assisting in the completion of internal and external audits.

• Contributing to the development and testing of regulatory reports.

• Analysing figures to identify trends in data and providing insight to management to support informed decision-making.

• Assisting the Senior Accountant in tasks required for the launch of new markets.

• Ensuring all tasks have a procedure document, which is kept up to date.

• Communicating with internal and external stakeholders.

• Completing any adhoc requests from key stakeholders.
