As a Senior Accountant working as part of the Regulatory Reporting team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that we meet all financial regulatory requirements for our European entities.

As a key member of the Regulatory Reporting Team, you will manage all aspects of financial regulatory reporting for a portfolio of European markets. This includes ensuring the timely and accurate completion of regulatory returns, training junior team members and participating in new market initiatives and testing.

You will develop in-depth expertise for your allocated jurisdictions, becoming a go-to resource for financial regulatory matters. This role offers an excellent opportunity to expand your knowledge of the online gaming industry and relevant financial regulations, whilst collaborating with diverse stakeholders across the Business.

This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy.

Successful applicants will be required to provide proof of eligibility to work in the UK from their first day of employment.

Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Experience

• ACCA/CIMA qualification or equivalent is required.

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or relevant commercial experience.

• Proven ability to communicate effectively with both financial and non-financial stakeholders, including regulatory bodies.

• Demonstrable initiative, intellectual curiosity and the ability to quickly grasp complex regulatory requirements.

• Strong team player with excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Proven experience in performing complex reconciliations and analysing large datasets to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial and regulatory reports.

• Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency in macros, lookups and data analysis functions.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret regulatory guidelines and tax advice.

• Self-motivated and proactive, with a demonstrable ability to identify and implement process improvements.

• Familiarity with the online gambling industry and an interest in sports is desirable.

Main Responsibilities

• Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, taking ownership of regulatory reporting processes.

• Reviewing and validating gambling duty calculations and regulatory returns to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Managing and coordinating responses to adhoc enquiries from regulatory bodies, ensuring timely and comprehensive communication.

• Contributing to project work for new regulated markets, including testing and process implementation.

• Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial regulatory reporting processes.

• Collaborating with key internal departments, such as Tax, Compliance and Data Distributions, to ensure alignment and consistency in regulatory reporting.
