This person will be responsible for providing a good quality, cost effective meal service in our clients Extra Care and Sheltered Housing Villages.

Job requirements

• Assist the Catering Team Leader in delivering a high-quality, cost-effective meal service.
• Assist in the preparation and planning of menus with attention to providing a variety of healthy and nutritious meals, light refreshments snacks and drinks.
• Undertake all tasks in relation to preparation and cooking in a busy environment prioritising tasks as you go.
• Maintaining the highest standards of food preparations and service of menu and short order food.
• Undertake stock control and processing of food delivery orders making sure that food is appropriately stored.
• Working as part of a team to maintain and high standard of cleanliness and operation of the kitchen, service and dining areas.

What they’re looking for

• Qualified in Level 2 Food Hygiene or above (updated training will be available where necessary).
• 1 -2 years minimum experience in a similar role, preparing, cooking, and delivering a high-quality service and food standard.
• A passion for great food and excellent customer service.
• Experience and knowledge of food hygiene, allergens, health and safety legislation and best practices.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A flexible approach able to work a variety of days, shifts, and locations to cover service requirements.
• DBS check needed.
