Location: Stoke-on-Trent (Hybrid Options Available)

Salary: DOE

We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Designer to join our clients team in a full-time, permanent capacity. This is a high-priority hire with an immediate start available for the right candidate. The role is based in or around the Stoke-on-Trent area, with flexibility for hybrid work once settled in.

Key Responsibilities:

Design of mechanical systems including ventilation, domestic water, heating, and air conditioning for construction projects.

Produce detailed drawings and layouts using CAD software.

Collaborate with engineers and project managers to develop cost-effective and practical design solutions.

Work with site teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure designs are implemented effectively.

Contribute to the preparation of technical documentation and specifications.

Requirements:

Minimum 3+ years of experience in mechanical design within the construction industry.

Proficient in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit MEP).

Strong understanding of mechanical building systems (HVAC, domestic water, etc.).

Good communication skills and the ability to work within a team environment.

BIM modelling experience is a plus, but not essential.

A valid UK driving licence

Working Hours & Benefits:

Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; Friday 8:00 am to 3:00 pm

Holidays: 25 days annual leave, increasing by 1 day every 2 years of service (up to 30 days after 10 years).

Company Car or Car Allowance

Hybrid Working: Office-based preferred with flexibility to work from home on occasion.
