An engineering and manufacturing company specialising in advanced security detection and inspection equipment are looking for a Buyer to join them on a 10-month contract in Stoke-On-Trent.
Responsibilities:
- Purchasing of materials
- Preparation of supply chain documentation & quotations
- Supporting the Senior Buyer in selecting suppliers
- Daily review of MRP systems
- Develop and manage vendor relationships to improve Quality, Cost & Delivery performance
- Raise Purchase Orders in line with production requirements
Professional Skills/Abilities:
- Strong communication skills at all levels
- Computer literacy - Excel & Word essential, Access preferable
- Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems for BOM, scheduling, forecast analysis, and capacity planning
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail
