Academics are working with a welcoming primary school who are seeking a caring, patient and passionate Level 3 EYFS qualified practitioner to support and lead a small group of EYFS pupils with Special Educational Needs within their small dedicated Nurture Group.

This is a truly rewarding role where relationships come first. You will help their youngest learners build confidence, emotional regulation and a love of learning in a calm, supportive environment tailored to their individual needs.

The planning and work will be provided but you will be expected to follow and implement and lead this small group to make progress.

About the Role

  • Lead and support a small group of EYFS SEN pupils in our Nurture provision
  • Create a warm, consistent and emotionally safe space where children can thrive
  • Deliver nurturing, play-based activities aligned with EYFS principles
  • Support social, emotional and communication development
  • Work closely with class teachers, SENCO and families
  • 5 mornings per week, long-term position until the end of the Summer term

We're Looking For Someone Who:

  • Holds a Level 3 EYFS qualification
  • Has experience supporting children with SEN, ideally within EYFS
  • Is calm, empathetic and patient, with a genuine passion for nurture-based support
  • Can confidently lead a small group and adapt learning to individual needs
  • Understands the importance of attachment, routine and emotional wellbeing
