Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CAD Drafter to join our dynamic team specifically with knowledge in industrial roofing and cladding.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in creating detailed technical working drawings, loading lists and schematics using various CAD software including AutoCAD (must have)/Excel spreadsheets.
This role involves collaborating with the sales team and engineers to develop accurate working drawings and loading lists of designs which the site and office team can work from, ensuring that all specifications are met and delivered on time. It is therefore important to find a highly skilled person than can work at speed and under pressure as it is a busy office.
The successful applicant will have experience with software such as AutoCAD/Excel spreadsheets, and will play a vital role in the design process.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed working drawings and schematics based on project specifications and requirements.
- Utilise CAD software such as AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Excel spreadsheets and Sketchup to create accurate representations of designs and site working drawings.
- Collaborate with engineers, sales and office team to ensure that all designs meet functional and aesthetic standards and can be manufactured as cost effectively as possible without compromise on quality or our exceptional standards.
- Review and revise drawings based on feedback from team members or clients.
- Maintain an organised library of drawings and documentation for easy access by team members.
- Assist in the preparation of project documentation including specifications and reports.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations throughout the drafting process.
Requirements
- Proficiency in CAD software as mentioned above
- Must have experience in building , construction design and ideally knowledge in industrial roofing and cladding
- Strong understanding of graphic design principles and system design processes.
- Ability to produce, deliver and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
- Previous experience in a similar role essential as we need someone that can hit the ground running.
- A relevant qualification in drafting or design technology is advantageous but not essential.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 30,000.00 -40000 per year dependant on experience
