Are you an electrical engineer from a heavy industry / foundry background, looking for your next role?

The role is based in Stourbridge and is easily commutable from Birmingham and surrounding areas.

Working Monday - Friday days, 5AM - 3PM / 7AM - 5PM and rotating cover on a Saturday, depending on breakdowns.

37,500 per annum + OT rate for Saturday

Requirements:

  • Apprentice trained with relevant certificates and qualifications
  • Minimum City & Guilds 17th edition
  • Wiring regulations trained
  • Able to perform electrical control circuits & 3 phase power supplies
  • Fault finding on AC/DC systems

Role:

  • To ensure foundry plant and ancillary equipment is always operated efficiently minimising all types of waste
  • Installation, maintenance, testing and repairing of manufacturing equipment
  • Undertake fault diagnosis and repair in a heavy engineering environment
  • Be able to read electrical drawings
  • Assist in the development of PPM systems and scheduling maintenance systems
  • Maintain electrical equipment, wiring, motors, switches in good repair and operating conditions
  • Safe operation of hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical equipment
  • Read a drawing or viewing a wiring configuration to test and determine the root cause
  • Fault reading ladder diagrams is advantageous
