Lead, motivate, and improve a busy planning and sales support team
We’re looking for a confident and proactive Planning & Sales Administration Supervisor to lead a small but busy team responsible for order processing, production planning, and customer service.
This is a great opportunity for a strong team leader who can spot inefficiencies, drive improvements, and confidently challenge existing processes to make a real impact on business performance.
What you’ll be doing
- Supervise and develop the Planning and Sales Administration teams, ensuring accurate order entry and excellent customer service.
- Translate customer demand into realistic production schedules and coordinate with operations to deliver on time.
- Identify process gaps or bottlenecks within planning and order management, propose solutions, and work with management to implement improvements.
- Monitor open orders, lead times, and delivery dates, keeping customers informed throughout.
- Liaise closely with production, warehouse, and dispatch teams to align priorities and maintain workflow.
- Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews to keep communication clear and morale high.
- Manage workloads, set priorities, and ensure accuracy, responsiveness, and accountability across the team.
- Review and refine administrative processes to improve efficiency, data accuracy, and reporting.
- Support the implementation of new systems or tools to enhance visibility and planning capability.
What we’re looking for
- A strong leader with experience supervising a planning, sales admin, or operations support team.
- Confident communicator who can challenge constructively and engage with senior management.
- Proven ability to find and solve process issues, not just flag them.
- Excellent organisational and coordination skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems and solid Excel ability.
- Understanding of production, logistics, or manufacturing environments.
- Calm under pressure with a positive, solutions-focused mindset.
Qualifications & Experience
- 3–5 years’ experience in planning, production coordination, or sales administration.
- Previous supervisory or team lead experience required.
- Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related qualification (desirable).
