Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Edge Bander Operator with experience operating Biesse Akron edge banding machines. You will be responsible for preparing, setting up, and running the edge bander to apply edging to a variety of wood-based panel products. Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality finishes are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain the Biesse Akron edge banding machine.

  • Set up tooling and machine parameters based on job specifications.

  • Inspect panels for quality before and after edging.

  • Monitor the machine during operation to ensure consistent performance.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues.

  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the machine.

  • Work from technical drawings and job sheets.

  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and company procedures.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience operating Biesse Akron or similar edge banding machines.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards.

  • Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Good communication skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience in a woodworking or joinery environment.

  • Forklift license or experience with material handling.

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm (overtime available)
