Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Edge Bander Operator with experience operating Biesse Akron edge banding machines. You will be responsible for preparing, setting up, and running the edge bander to apply edging to a variety of wood-based panel products. Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality finishes are essential.
Key Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain the Biesse Akron edge banding machine.

Set up tooling and machine parameters based on job specifications.

Inspect panels for quality before and after edging.

Monitor the machine during operation to ensure consistent performance.

Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues.

Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the machine.

Work from technical drawings and job sheets.

Adhere to health and safety regulations and company procedures.
Requirements:
-
Proven experience operating Biesse Akron or similar edge banding machines.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
-
Strong attention to detail and quality standards.

Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good communication skills.
Desirable:
-
Experience in a woodworking or joinery environment.
-
Forklift license or experience with material handling.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm (overtime available)
