Are you a detail-oriented Design Engineer with an engineering background and a passion for precision and problem-solving? We are recruiting on behalf of a leading engineering company for a skilled professional to create accurate 2D transport arrangement drawings that support the safe and efficient movement of abnormal loads.

This role is primarily based onsite at the client's Redditch office, with some flexibility for occasional home working.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop 2D AutoCAD drawings to illustrate load arrangements on trailers

  • Work closely with engineering, logistics, and project teams to meet design specifications

  • Use specialist software to calculate axle loadings and ensure compliance with transport regulations

  • Assist with structural detailing for bespoke transport solutions

  • Deliver accurate and timely drawings to support long-lead permit applications

  • Provide additional CAD and design support as needed



Requirements:

  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2D (preferably Light version)

  • Ability to effectively adapt and use CAD templates

  • Excellent attention to detail with a structured and methodical approach

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Engineering background essential - ideally degree-qualified in Civil, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
