SEN Teaching Assistant
Location:Sudbury, Suffolk
Salary:£24,570 - £25,935 depending on experience
Hours:Full time, Term time only

We are currently seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to join an exceptional provision offering education and support to children with SEMH. An Ofsted Good rated school, the team havecreated a truly special place to be. The pupils who attend the school feel safe, the environment is calm. Pupils are supported well in lessons and there is a strong reading programme in place. Safeguarding is a strength of the school and our commitment to learning and welfare is at the centre of all that we do.


Key Duties:
  • Mentoring, supporting and inspiring learners by supporting them with curriculum-based learning in the classroom, on home tuition and outreach and through outdoor activities
  • Assist with the preparation of learning material and contributing to the delivery of learning objectives with a strong focus on behavioural management
  • Daily reports on learners progress and barriers to learning
  • Interaction with parents/care givers on a regular basis
Skills / Qualifications:
  • A committed and passionate view of students with SEND
  • At least two years experience minimum of working in a SEND environment or similar unit/provision
  • A level 3 TA qualification is advantageous
