Job Title: Payroll Administrator

Salary: up to £33,000

Casanovas Recruitment Solutions are recruiting for an organised, detailed orientated professional with a passion for payroll and client service for a local accountancy firm in Sudbury. We are looking for a proactive and reliable Payroll Administrator to join this companies growing team within a friendly, professional, and supportive accountancy practice. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with numbers and systems, takes pride in ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Main areas of responsibility:

  • Process accurate payrolls for clients using electronic payroll software
  • Liaise with clients and colleagues to confirm payroll data and resolve queries
  • Ensure timely compliance with all legal, contractual, and reporting obligations
  • Provide high-quality internal and external reporting to set deadlines
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and build strong client relationships
  • Attend client meetings and handle telephone enquiries professionally
  • Contribute positively to the wider team and practice operations
  • Participate in ongoing CPD and keep up to date with regulatory changes
  • Support other duties aligned with payroll and general practice functions

Required Skills & Desired Experience:

  • Currently undertaking or holding Payroll Administrator Level 3 qualification
  • Experience in an Accountancy Practice would be desirable
  • Solid understanding of payroll processes, legislation, and terminology
  • Strong administrative, analytical, and IT skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to prioritise, multi-task, and meet deadlines
  • Professional, proactive, and client-focused attitude
  • Willingness to learn, grow, and receive constructive feedback
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a team
