Baltic Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Permanent Production Planner joining a highly reputable client based in Sunderland.

We're on the hunt for a Production Planner to join their dynamic Logistics team. This is your opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking, collaborative environment where your ideas and expertise will directly influence our success.

Main assignment:

You will be responsible for monitoring inventory levels, regularly providing production status updates, and facilitating the timely delivery of products to customers. You will also closely monitor the production process to ensure that production orders are completed on time and within budget.

Summary of Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The development and communication of a production plan to maintain the correct stock levels and a continuous flow of finished goods to the customer.
  • Coordinating production operations in accordance with labour, material, and equipment availability.
  • Effecting changes to production schedules to ensure that production deadlines are met.
  • Promptly informing the relevant departments of changes to current production schedules.
  • Using SAP MRP to produce the required material quantities on time.
  • Planning downtime requests and use of safety stock.
  • Preparation and communication of status and performance reports (actual vs planned).
  • Proactively and promptly addressing and resolving production issues to minimise delays in production.
  • Monitoring and reporting on customer delivery performance.
  • Monitoring inventory against the agreed levels.
  • Monitoring the bill of materials (BOM) including raw materials, assemblies, subassemblies, parts and components and the quantities of each needed to manufacture products.
  • Recommending viable solutions to reduce production costs as well as improve production processes and product quality.
  • Supporting new product introduction for example, allocating time on a process.
  • Escalating issues following the escalation procedure.
  • Adhering to quality standards and requirements, including all QMS related items.

Working Hours:

Monday - Thursday: 7:55am - 4:30pm

Friday: 7:55am - 2:15pm (start your weekend early!)
