Reporting to the Assistant Production Manager - The Team Leader role is in place to drive production line performance to ensure, safety, quality and performance targets are met on a shift-by-shift basis.

The role is the first port of call for line based operational problems and escalation for action as well as upkeeping of all site standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To take the leading role in driving line based SIC meetings to maximise Reliability and minimise equipment downtime.
  • Complete smooth end of shift handovers to oncoming team leaders, ensuring constructive handovers occur.
  • Ensure operators are prepared for a similarly constructive handovers for their respective machine centre.
  • Lead from the front in driving down changeover times.
  • Play an active role in reporting line performance on reporting systems.
  • Be the leader in increasing output and driving down lost time using SIC, and other appropriate tools.
  • Challenges behavioural traits which negatively impact on performance and team effectiveness.
  • Deliver top 5 meetings covering last 24 hours performance while planning the next
  • Liaise with Technical Trainer when up-skilling required online.
  • Liaise with H&S officer for relevant purposes.
  • Understand the V-curve principle and can train out to others.
  • Drive hygiene completion rates on machine centres.
  • Be a key part of corrective actions taking place after non-conformances i.e., Quality Failure.

  • Ability to challenge constructively and methodically to achieve results.
