What You'll Be Doing (and Owning):

  • Running end-to-end monthly payroll for permanent and casual staff (no outsourcing here-you're in control)
  • Managing pensions admin, including Teachers' Pensions and LGPS
  • Being the go-to for payroll and pension queries across the college
  • Working closely with HR and Finance to ensure everything balances and makes sense
  • Spotting ways to streamline, simplify, and improve how things are done

What You Bring:

  • Real experience managing payroll and pensions-ideally in education or public sector
  • A clear understanding of statutory obligations (and a healthy respect for deadlines)
  • Confidence working independently, plus the communication skills to work with others
  • Bonus points if you've dealt with Teachers' Pensions or LGPS before
  • A love for accuracy, logic, and getting things right the first time
