Social Worker - Locality Team (Permanent)Location: SuttonSalary: £39,264 per annum (increase dependent on skills and experience)

Randstad is recruiting on behalf of Sutton Council for experienced and passionate Social Workers to join their Locality Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake assessments, care planning, and reviews in line with statutory requirements.

  • Work collaboratively with service users, families, and partner agencies to promote independence and well-being.

  • Manage a caseload, ensuring all work is completed within agreed timescales.

  • Contribute to safeguarding investigations and multi-agency meetings.

  • Maintain accurate and timely case records.

Requirements

  • Social Work qualification and at least one year's post-qualifying experience in a social work role

  • If you are a newly qualified social worker, we still consider you if you are on your Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) programme.
  • Current Social Work England registration.

  • Valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work, with business insurance cover (where required).

  • Ability to actively use supervision for accountability, professional reflection, and development.

  • Strong understanding of frameworks, theory, and research relevant to the practice setting.

  • Knowledge of legal and policy frameworks that safeguard vulnerable service users, specifically within locality services.
