The position is for a Class 1 (C+E) Shunter Driver at Mercia Park, DE12, offering a permanent Monday to Friday schedule with overtime opportunities.

The salary for the role is £40,000 for day shifts and £32,500 for night shifts, with additional shift premiums for hours worked between 19:00 and 06:00.

Class 1 (C+E) Shunter Driver - PERMANENT
Monday to Friday with Overtime
To work directly with our prestigious long term Client at Mercia Park, DE12.

A valid CE License / CPC and Digi card will be required.

The role -

Ensuring vehicles comply with legal requirements, reporting issues to your DC team
Shunting of loads across the vast yard at Mercia Park, DE12
Ensure the security and accuracy of delivery of the loads in your charge
Following instructions accurately and effectively
Drive in a safe and efficient manner
Comply with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations

In return you will get:

£40,000 basic on the 06:00 to 14:30 and 14:30 to 23:00 roles - shift premium applies19:00 and 06:00
£32,500 on Nights basic plus shift premium paid between 19:00 and 06:00
Shift premiums between the hours of 19:00 to 06:00

Schedule:

We are looking for 1 x 06:00 to 14:00, 1 x 14:00 to 22:00 and 1 x 23:00 to 06:00 the Night shift is pro rata (shorter shift)

Experience:

General Haulage: 1 year (preferred)
Curtainside Trailers: 1 year (preferred)
Ratchet Strapping: 1 year (preferred)Licence/Certification:
