Are you a skilled surveyor with a passion for precision and quality craftsmanship? We are seeking a dedicated Window and Door Surveyor to join our teams. You’ll work with bespoke windows and doors manufactured exclusively for us by Conservatory Outlet, a UK leader in innovative home improvement products with a network spanning England, Scotland, and Wales. This is your chance to help bring our customers’ visions to life with care and expertise.

Your Role and ImpactAs a Window and Door Surveyor, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our installations are completed to the highest standards. Based between our Swindon office (covering Wiltshire and Oxfordshire) and our Frome showroom in Somerset, you’ll collaborate with our sales teams, fitting crews, and customers to deliver seamless projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting accurate on-site surveys at customers’ homes to take precise measurements and assess designs for bespoke windows and doors.
  • Advising on design feasibility, ensuring compliance with planning regulations, and collecting necessary drawings or documentation for applications when required.
  • Working with Conservatory Outlet’s exclusive products, including energy-efficient windows and doors, to deliver tailored solutions that enhance homes.
  • Coordinating with our fitting teams to confirm access to electricity, water supplies, and delivery/storage arrangements, ensuring a smooth installation process.
  • Providing excellent customer service by addressing queries, offering clear advice, and ensuring every project reflects our commitment to quality and satisfaction.

What We’re Looking ForWe’re seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused individual with the skills to survey bespoke products with precision. Here’s what we need:

  • Experience: Proven experience as a surveyor, ideally in the home improvement sector, with a focus on windows and doors. Experience with bespoke products is a plus, but training will be provided.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to take accurate measurements, assess structural designs, and understand planning requirements. Proficiency in producing drawings and documentation for planning applications.
  • Customer Focus: Strong communication skills to liaise with customers, providing clear advice and updates while treating their homes with respect, ensuring a tidy workspace at all times.
  • Practical Requirements: Based between Swindon and Frome, with a valid UK driver’s licence and access to a vehicle (a company vehicle will be provided).
  • Team Player: Ability to collaborate with sales teams, fitters, and office staff to ensure a seamless process from survey to installation.
