My client is a well-established law firm in the heart of Swindon that services both business and private client areas of law. It is seeking a confident and experienced Civil Litigation Paralegal to join the firm.
This is an excellent opportunity for a paralegal to assist on a wide range of contentious matters in a busy and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload across a broad range of civil litigation matters
- Handle personal injury claims including OIC and MOJ portal matters, as well as claims falling outside of the portal frameworks
- Advise and assist on contract disputes, employment law issues, boundary disputes, harassment, defamation, company law and landlord and tenant matters
- Draft legal documents including pleadings, witness statements and applications
- Enforce judgments and provide representation at court, including hearings and trials
- Manage matters from pre-action through to resolution, including Small Claims, Fast Track and Multi-Track litigation
About You
- Previous experience in a fee-earning civil litigation role is essential
- Comfortable working to billing targets and managing your own caseload
- Strong advocacy skills and experience attending court
- Excellent drafting and communication abilities
- Organised, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team
